Privacy policy

This policy explains what Abed Rugs collects when you use this site and how that information is handled.

What we collect

• Details you submit in a rug request: name, phone number, email, ZIP code, room details, style and color preferences, budget range, timing and any message or room photo you choose to attach.
• Basic technical information such as the pages you visit and the referring link or campaign parameters, used to understand how people find us.

How we use it

• To select rugs that match your room and to arrange your appointment.
• To contact you about your request by phone, text or email, as you agreed.
• To improve which pages and rugs we show.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run our website, customer records and scheduling on our behalf.

Calls and texts

If you check the box agreeing to calls and texts, we may contact you about your rug request and appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or tell us on a call. Consent to texts is never required to receive a response.

Cookies, measurement and advertising

Strictly necessary cookies run the site, keep forms working and remember your privacy choice. We do not show a cookie pop-up. Instead, measurement and advertising cookies are on by default and you can switch them off at any time using the control below in Your ad measurement choices, which is also linked from the footer of every page. Your choice is remembered in this browser and applies straight away.

• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms). Purpose: measuring and improving our ads and understanding which pages lead to appointment requests. Data categories: page URL and referrer, general device and browser information, IP address, Meta click identifier (fbclid) and campaign parameters, and the rug identifier when you view a listing. Does not load once you have opted out.
• Meta Conversions API (server-side ad measurement, currently provided through our Meta-supported managed connection). Unless you have opted out, a completed rug request may also be reported to Meta from a server rather than your browser, using the same event identifier as the browser event so Meta can recognise them as the same request. We cannot promise a server report is always delivered, or that reports are always matched perfectly. Data categories where such a report is sent: contact details in hashed form, your IP address and browser identifier, and Meta's own first-party cookie values. Hashing reduces, but does not always eliminate, the chance that a person could be re-identified. Nothing is sent to Meta at all after you opt out.
• HighLevel (our customer-records provider, with optional website form-measurement). Recording and following up on the request you asked for is essential first-party processing and continues so your request reaches Abed's team. The optional website measurement part honours your choice above and is not loaded once you have opted out. It does not send anything to Meta from your browser. Purpose: recording your submitted request together with the page and campaign you came from, and contacting you about it. There is no automatic scheduling — walkthroughs are arranged by a person. Data categories: the details you submit in the form, page URL, referrer, campaign parameters and general device information. HighLevel may also report a completed request back to Meta from its own servers.
• Our own step diagnostics (first-party, on our servers). When you use the rug request form we record a random reference for your browser and for that attempt, which screens of the form were shown, in what order, and whether a request was sent. We also record a small number of anonymous page activities — that you viewed a landing or rug-offer page, or used one of a short list of allowed buttons — together with the campaign tags (source, medium, campaign, content, term) in the address you arrived with. We do not keep your answers, name, phone number, photos, full page addresses, click identifiers or IP address in these diagnostic records, and they are deleted after 90 days. Purpose: seeing where the form is confusing so we can improve it. If you opt out below, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not record this at all.
• PostHog (step-analytics provider). A copy of the same anonymous records above — random references, page and screen names, order, campaign tags and whether a request was sent — is sent from our own servers to PostHog so we can chart where people stop. Nothing is sent from your browser to PostHog, no session recording or general browsing tracking is used, and no contact details, answers, photos, click identifiers or IP-based location are included. Purpose: improving the form. If you opt out below, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, nothing further is recorded and we mark the random reference for this browser as withdrawn, so nothing more is sent — including records that reach our servers afterwards, and page activity that is not tied to a form attempt. Nothing already blocked is replayed if you later opt back in; a fresh random reference is used instead. Records already accepted by PostHog before you opted out are not deleted retroactively by this control; ask us and we will remove them.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the ad measurement described above.

Your ad measurement choices

• The Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer of every page brings you straight back to this control.
• Opting out stops the Meta Pixel from loading, clears Meta's cookies from this browser and stops server-side ad reporting about you.
• Your choice is stored per browser and per device, so repeat it anywhere else you use the site.
• You can also clear this site's storage in your browser, or use your browser and device ad settings.
• Ask us and we will correct or delete the information you submitted, or stop contacting you.

This section describes how the site is set up; it is information about our practices, not a legal guarantee or legal advice.

Room photos

Photos you upload are stored privately and used only to help select rugs for you. They are not published on this site. Ask us and we will delete a photo.

Retention and your choices

We keep request records as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, at any time.
